Starting the New Year Right

Yesterday was a great start to the new year. I spent the day with my family. We enjoyed playing a new board game in the morning. In the afternoon I played basketball with my kids. We had a great time playing 2 vs. 3 and knockout. The great thing about playing together is that I get to be reminded that all my kids are different. They all have different talents and skills. I get to just play and see how they interact and play with each other. I am very blessed to have 4 great kids who get along with one another most of the time. I really enjoyed the day. I am thankful for the days that we can spend together.

Next week we get back into our regular routines. I will start preparing for the new semester next week, church programs resume, our city youth basketball program starts. As I look forward to getting back to normal routines and building relationships I am thankful for the Christmas season that gives us time together as a family.   I do not make resolutions but I have some goals for 2014. I want our programs to help families improve their health. I want to build a team of people who are passionate about helping people improve their health. I would like to hear from you if you would like to be part of this team. You can contact me at
